Huge fan of this place even though I've only been once!
This is a mom&pop shop at corner so it's not hard to miss. However, with it being a mom&pop shop, it does get busy (hence the -1 star). I went here for lunch with one of the managers at my work. Of course, the line was out the door! We were committed to getting this food so we decided to stay in line and order. It took about 15/20 minutes for our food to come out but it was worth the wait! I got a #1 combo which was their (2) fish and chips and everything was freeeeeeeeeeesshh. What I loved the most is the tartar sauce that is house made. Definitely worthwhile and highly recommend! -

Rude Chinese guy when I asked if the fries were freshly fried. I didn't want to get home and find stale fries. $15.95 for a three piece with fries (Not exactly fast food prices) especially for frozen fish and frozen fries!
I won't be a repeat customer, I was just desperate at the spur of the moment when dim sum king ran out of dim sum! -

OK...so I was too lazy to drive (walk) far from the Holiday Inn Express next door for dinner, initially thinking Popeyes, then seeing Dim Sum King, finally settling on The Bay Fish & Chips.
Ordered 1 fish, 3 prawns & chips. Best part was the crinkle-cut fries, a rarity in fast food, but not nearly enough of them, considering the overall price of the meal, at about $14, not including watered down iced tea ($2.50 more please...thanks for the free refill).
Fish was decent, but small, about the size (and shape) of a Churchill cigar. The prawns were pretty good, size-wise, only lacking flavor. The tartar was dangerously watery and I don't use ketchup (catsup?).
Parking was not an issue, as I just walked over from the hotel next door. -

Writing this review based on my parent's experience of coming to this place several times. The fish and chips are good, but the issue is the customer service. My parents have noticed that an Asian lady who tends to them never smiles, greets them and she makes them feel uncomfortable. While at other customers she yells welcome, waves and smiles. Her attitude seems very racist and because of her attitude they do not leave her tips.
I suggest you guys shape up! And treat everyone like a valued customer! Not just those who look a certain way. -

Seriously, did I just eat lunch for less than $10 before tax and tip?!
I ordered one of the least expensive fish and chips options because I knew it would be a heavy meal. Hello, deep fryer! The mild, white fish was piping hot and crispy, with light and evenly distributed batter. I sprinkled on malt vinegar to give the basic fried fish some life. However, I wasn't a fan of the crinkle cut fries. Not soggy, not crispy, not delicious. Pretty meh in my book and was basically a vehicle for shoving ketchup down my throat. Pass on the fries! If you're a fan of fried battered fish, give this family-run hole-in-the-wall a try!
